I haven’t been posting much fun, happy stuff lately, I know. I haven’t really been posting much of anything. I’d like to change that! I’m not sure how successful I’ll be since school starts tomorrow and I’m taking three courses (which is more than I’ve taken in almost a decade because school and work are not things I balance well), but I’m gonna try!
What’s happier than happy mail?
Around Halloween time, Nati J. over at Creating Emorelle posted something featuring a cute “Life is a Witch and Then You Fly” notepad that I adored. I commented saying as such and she replied that she’d gotten it the year before, but if I wanted to message her my address she’d send me some sheets. How sweet!
Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I received a thick letter in the mail. She had messaged me saying that she’d sent it out, so I’d been expecting something from her, but nothing quite so big! I wish I’d thought to take pictures of it, but I was too excited–I had to open it right away.
Oh. My. Word. You guys. She sent me so much stuff! Not only did she send me a thick bunch of the witchy notepaper, but she also sent me another bunch of some cute glasses notepaper, and a pocket letter filled with goodies!
Of course, when it arrived, California was in the middle of a huge rainstorm and the lighting to take pictures was awful. So, it took me a while to photograph it.
But I have pictures now and, seriously, my friends, this is amazing.
((You should be able to click the images to go to the attachment page, but be warned: I don’t have Photoshop installed on my laptop yet, so these pictures haven’t been resized or edited before posting and they’re HUGE. Just to warn you.))
Look at all that stuff! I’ve never received a pocket letter before, though I’ve seen pictures and had an idea of what they are. But, I had no idea you could fit so much into one of these sheets!
I mean, there are stickers and stamps and flags. She sent me paper clips and washi and tags. It’s stuffed with confetti and little cut outs and a fun “build a cupcake kit.” She sent me tea, you guys!
Everything was perfect! Pup was here when I got it and even he was like, “Wow, she really nailed you.”
I took some pictures of my absolute favorite items, just because if I took pictures of each thing this post would be just too, too big.
First, the paper, which was the original reason for the letter. How cute are these notepads?! And I love the little binder clips she used to hold them together. The red one has a little pencil on it and the green one says “To Do.”
On the pink side, we’ve got the washi samples (which are all so cute), some planning stamps (list, due, appt, notes, buy, to do), the cutest wooden star cut-outs (seriously, I love stars so much), and a little cut-out of a lady and my name. I love the sequins and star confetti, because I love shiny things. Pup likes them because they’re shiny but not glitter.
On the purple side, I received more planner stamps (don’t forget, yes, free day, a dollar symbol, an arrow, and important), this Nevermore raven tag that I’m just gaga over (!!! I don’t know what I want to use it for because I just want to save it forever!), and some witchy stickers and a paper build a cupcake kit (both of which keep in theme with my blog and general life).
And finally, I pulled out the tags and these cute stamp cut-outs to show them off. I love the antique look of them. I have a weakness for antique and distressed patterns and these ones are just gorgeous!
You guys, I am so touched that she put so much thought and work into this. Everything really was just so on the nose, I’m blown away. I just have to share the love and send her something back, but I’ve never done a pocket letter or flip book before. Hmm. What to do? What to send?
Leave a comment below if you want to share any pocket letters or flip books you’ve sent or received to help inspire me, or if you just want to say hi and fawn over all of the cool stuff I got!
And if you like crafts and planning, be sure to head over to Creating Emorelle and give her a follow! She’s just the sweetest and everything she posts is gorgeous. You’re guaranteed to find some inspiration for your crafting futures.
I love you all.
