I can’t believe it’s already the end of June! Where has the time gone?! There’s only one more week of Pride month rainbows and then we move onto July. Wow. Is it just me, or is this year just flying by?
I’ve found that simple layouts work the best for me. To many stickers and stamps makes it feel cluttered, so I kept this layout light on the extras.
I used some Recollections washi to fill in the middle boxed with a DIY rainbow banner, then used some Me and My Big Ideas washi to cover the torn edges. The “exist to be happy” sticker in the top corner and the clear “can’t stop won’t stop” sticker on the banner are also from MAMBI.
Can I just say how much I love those clear stickers? They’re perfect for layering over washi or full boxes. I wish MAMBI would make an entire book of them, I swear.
Since my birthday, I’ve taken on a couple 365 projects; one 365 selfies project on Instagram and another that’s a little more structured (which I’m really kind of struggling with, but whatever). So, using the icon stamps for my dailies isn’t really working anymore. Instead, I used my Lawn Fawn “Plan on It” kit to fill the bottom to list my daily tasks (making the bed, my 365 projects, etc…).
Honestly, I don’t really like it. It’s effective and efficient, but it’s not very aesthetically pleasing. So, I guess I’ll keep working on that, use all three boxes (but then where will I put my decoartions? Hmm…).
Maybe I should do something in my big planner like I did in my mini, this week. Since adding so many more dailies, I can’t fit them in the little “notes” section at the bottom, so I divided a page of mini filler paper and created a grid-style checklist to pop in. I don’t usually like adding pages into my weekly layout, because it messes with the easy at-a-glance layout, but this is small enough that it doesn’t get too in the way. It would be easy to just pop one of these into my big planner, too.
Also! I start my summer semester tomorrow! Very excited, but also kind of dreading having to get up and leave the house twice a week all summer long. Public transportation + Summer heat = Not a fun trip. But, that’s life. At least it’s only one class, so I’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the sunny weather.
I love you all.
